Our Qi Classes are designed to help recharge the body with the vibration of Qi with the intention to stimulate the body’s own healing ability. While it is not possible to provide any guarantees, they can be beneficial to those with digestive issues, fatigue, discomfort, sleeplessness and other health concerns.
Qi Classes are designed to calm the mind as well as recharge the body. They can be beneficial in relieving worry, stress, sadness, anger, low self-esteem, lack of focus or motivation and help relieve the pressures of modern life.
All Qi Classes start with chanting and movements designed to calm and still the mind. This can make meditation easier. The guided meditation follows step by step guidance, that can help those that struggle with focus.
All ages and levels of ability are welcome in our Qi Classes. Movements can be adapted for those with health or flexibility issues. Participants normally sit on cushions on the floor but chairs are also available.
The classes are open to anyone, regardless of their religious, ethnic or cultural backgrounds. We simply ask participants to observe the etiquette and manners of the class.
We recommend that you wear comfortable loose fitting clothes for ease of movement. However we ask that you wear socks and T-shirts rather than sleeveless tops for the classes.
You don’t need to be a good singer to be able to chant. Chanting works with the breath from the energy center in the abdomen. We chant alongside a recording in a group so there is no need to feel self-conscious.
Qi Classes run on a flexible timetable. Feel free to attend as many or as few classes as you would like. We however recommend starting with two classes a week to give you the opportunity to really feel the benefits.
